The selected works pull from Shyra’s drawing portfolio, incorporating and expanding on works featuring in her 2023 graduating project, ‘anatomy of a soft spot’. Using graphite and paper as rudimentary materials, this series explores the interplay between soft and sharp, edges and borders, light and dark, outer and inner; the collections’ small scale and fragmented nature aiming to reflect the tenderness and intimacy of a diary entry.
